On-Duty Form for all Goochland/Lifeline crew to fill out when
beginning their duty. There is also a section to report
"held-over" time. Each Goochland/Lifeline crew should fill this
out and fax daily to the Fire-Admin Office at (804) 556-2613.

Many of our new Lifeline crew members will look familiar to some of you;
many of them are new faces to the County. Read on to find out more
about our newly hired crews!!

Chris
Brooks (Medic)
Chris joined
the Goochland County Volunteer Fire-Rescue in 1992. Chris has served
as training officer, Fire Lieutenant, Fire Captain and currently as
District 6 Chief. Chris is a career firefighter with Albemarle
County Fire-Rescue where he serves as a Captain on an ALS Engine
Company. Chris's certifications include NREMT-P, ACLS, BTLS, PHTLS,
PALS, CPR, EVOC III, Vehicle Extraction and numerous fire
certifications. |

Lee
Eckert (Medic)
Lee started his EMS
career in 2000 when he became an EMT-B and joined East Hanover
Volunteer Rescue Squad. In 2001 Lee began working for the Richmond
Ambulance Authority where he obtained his EMT-P. In 2002 Lee became
an active member of Goochland County Volunteer Fire-Rescue Company
5. Lee's certifications include EMT-P, EVOC, Firefighter I/II, CPR
and Swift Water Rescue Instructor. |

Haley
Hartogh (EMT)
Haley serves as a Rescue Officer at Company 3 were
she has been a member since 2006. She has been a volunteer EMT in
New Jersey since 2001 holding numerous officer positions. Haley's
certifications include EMT, EVOC, Firefighter I & II, HazMat Ops,
Extrication, and CPR, EMT-D.

Kris
Hawk (Medic)
Kris has been an active member of Goochland County
Volunteer Fire-Rescue Company 3 since 2000 where she has served in
both Lieutenant and Rescue Captain positions. Kris's
certifications include EMT-Intermediate, Fire-fighter I & II, EVOC
III, Haz-mat Ops, ACLS, PHTLS, PALS, Aerial Ops, CPR, and Vehicle
Extrication.

Heather
Proffitt (Medic)
Heather
joined Lifeline in 2004, and also serves as the volunteer Rescue
Lieutenant at Company 3. She has more than 5 years
of EMS experience. Heather's certifications include EMT-I, EVOC,
Firefighter I & II, HazMat Awareness, Extrication, ACLS, PHTLS, PALS and
CPR. She also serves as an Infectious Disease instructor. |

Blake
Markey (EMT)
Blake is a noticed face
around Goochland County Volunteer Fire & Rescue. Blake not only is
on the career staff but also is one of many volunteers with the
county. Blake has been a member of fire & rescue at Company 3 since
2003 where he currently serves as the Firehouse Lieutenant. Blake's
certifications include EMT-B, Firefighter I & II, ICS, NIMS,
Leadership I, II & III, Haz-mat Operations,
EVOC III, Vehicle Extrication and CPR. |

Kathy
Palmer (Medic)
Kathy has served as an
active member of Goochland County Volunteer Fire-Rescue Company 2
for the past seven years as a firefighter/EMT. Kathy has held many
positions including: Rescue Captain, Training Officer, Recruitment & Retention
Officer and Rescue Lieutenant. Currently Kathy serves as the Basic
Life Support (BLS) Training Captain for the County. Kathy's
certifications include EMT-I, PHTLS, PALS, ACLS, EVOC, FFII and CPR. (she hopes to add NREMT-P to her list in the future) |

Tommy Rigsby (EMT)
Tommy has been a member of Goochland County Volunteer
Fire Department since 2000 and joined Rescue in 2002. He has served
as Lieutenant at Hadensville Company 6 for almost 3 years. His
certification are Firefighter I and II, Hazmat Awareness and Ops,
Incident Management Systems, Swift Water Rescue, Ropes I, Farm
Equip, Extrication, EVOC I,II,III, EMT-B and CPR.

Mike
Jarrell (EMT)
Mike Jarrell
came from Manchester Volunteer Rescue Squad where he was
a Lieutenant. He has been a member in Goochland at Company 2 since
2006. His certifications
are EMT-B, Hazmat Awareness, Extrication, EVOC 2,3,
CPR, PTLS, PEPP, ACLS. He will also be starting the January, 2008
Firefighter I,II class.

James Reed (EMT)
James currently serves as volunteer Firehouse
Lieutenant at Company 1 and began employment with Lifeline in 2006.
He has been a member of Goochland County Fire-Rescue since 2000.
James' current certifications include EMT-B, Extrication, EVOC,
Firefighter I, HazMat Awareness, Leadership I, II & III, Basic Pump
Ops, CPR and NIMS.

Brian Tyler (Medic)
Brian began his EMS career in 1992 when he obtained his
certification. He also has been a firefighter since 200 as a member
of Hanover Fire and EMS. Brian's certifications include NREMT-P,
ACLS, PHTLS, AMLS, PPC and CPR instructor, Firefighter I & II,
HazMat Ops and Extrication.

Anthony Harbour (Medic)
Anthony began his EMS career in 1976 and has worked
both as a volunteer and paid provider for multiple agencies over the
years. He completed the MCV Paramedic Program in 1984 and
volunteered with Lakeside Volunteer Rescue Squad for 6 years. He
worked for Central Virginia Ambulance Service for 5 years as a
Critical Care Paramedic working Richmond City 911, fixed-wing air
ambulance, and ground transports on the “Whale”, an interhospital
transport ambulance converted from a RV. Anthony’s certifications
include NREMT-P, CCEMT-P, ACLS, AMLS, GEMS, PALS, PEPP, and PHTLS
with multiple instructor credentials. In addition, he serves as
Virginia PHTLS State Coordinator and AMLS Affiliate Faculty for
NAEMT. Prior to joining Lifeline-Goochland, he worked as a
self-employed computer security consultant and as a contracted
co-coordinator the Henrico Fire ALS CE Program.

Robert Mahanes (EMT)
Robert has been a member of Goochland
since 2002. He serves as the Fire House Lieutenant at Manakin Co1.
He has also been an active volunteer with Henrico Fire since 2003.
In 2006, RobI was employed with Amelia Ambulance were for 1 year as
an EMT-B. Then in 2008, he became employed part-time with Lifeline
Ambulance in Richmond. In the time since he was hired, he has been
offered a full time position on the Goochland contract. His
certifications include: Firefighter 1 and 2, Hazmat Ops, EMT-B, EVOC
3, Extrication, NIMS, ICS, Leadership 1 and 2, and Intro to Swift
Water Rescue.
